COOKING TIPS

Although we promote Catch and Release, there is a certain charme of taking your freshly caught fish home with you and preparing it for dinner. When doing so I would like to suggest only one fish per person with an average size of 30 to 35 cm.

Now I have started selling herbs to make your fish really, realy tasty! They are called Go Cajun! Seasoning Blackened Fish and Seafood. You will find more info about  the ingredients below this page.

My favorite ways of preparing Grayling or Trout

1 Smoked

Clean the fish and rub some herbs after your own tast in the belly of the fish. Put them in a smoker for 20 minutes.

When done you can peal the flesh straight of the bones and put it on bread with a nice layer of butter!

2 Fried with vegetables and bread melt a good layer of butter in the pan.

Put the fish in it with the skin, wait untill the skin has become a little bit crispy, take the fish out and remove the skinn, fins and loose scales. You can do it before hand, but I prefer it this way since the skinn comes off in almost one piece. When done, put some herbs on the fish and let it sit while you stirfry chopped up paprika, onion and mushrooms in the pan. When they are almost done, you add the fish in the pan. After just a few minutes everything will be ready!

3 Fried with sourcream and bread.

Put the fish in it with the skin, wait untill the skin has become a little bit crispy, take the fish out and remove the skinn, fins and loose scales. You can do it before hand, but I prefer it this way since the skinn comes off in almost one piece. When done you just put salt on the fish. Chopp up some spring onion and stirfry it together with the fish. When the fish is done, you poor most of the butter out of the pan and you poor all the sour cream in the pan. You just want the sourcream to warm up don't bring it to a boil! Then it is ready to serve together with bread or flatbrød with a good layer of butter on top of it!
